November 16th-20th

 First Grade Happenings

Last week, your child traveled back in time to learn about life long ago! We compared and contrasted food, clothing, housing, and transportation from the past with the present. Students also learned about the life and contributions of three historical figures: Lewis and Clark, and Sacagawea. We saw how Sacagawea used her God-given gifts as she courageously helped Lewis and Clark find the passageway to the Pacific ocean. This week, we will continue to explore life long ago as we learn about Squanto and the first Thanksgiving. We love this season of remembrance and gratitude in first grade!
